Credit & gift cards

What are credit and gift cards?
You can use your credit balance to pay for selected services in the app, either in full or in part. Credit can come from various sources, for example:
- from employers or other organizations that provide credit to employees, customers or other eligible persons,
- from bonus, discount or loyalty programs,
- from promotional and marketing campaigns,
- from goodwill or service credits.
Depending on the type of credit, it can be used for different services. Some credit is only valid for specific mobility services, while other credit can be used for a wider range of services or even the entire range of services.
If multiple credits are available in your user account, the applicable credit is selected automatically based on the credit priority described below. Our aim is to use credits that have more limited applications or may expire sooner first. This means you do not have to select the credit yourself, and your available credit can be used as effectively as possible.
-
How is credit selected for a booking?
For credit to be used for a booking, it must already have been credited to your user account. In addition, it must be valid for the selected service category, must not be reserved for another booking, and must not have expired either at the time of booking or at the time of payment.
If multiple credits are available in your user account, the applicable credit is selected automatically. The selection takes into account the type of credit, its validity period and the available credit balance. The selection cannot be adjusted manually.

The credit priority order shown above, as well as the allocation of credit types to services, may be adjusted from time to time to take new services, products or business models into account. This does not affect credit that has already been credited to your account. The credit priority order published on this page at the time of booking is always the applicable one.
-
How is the credit used for a booking selected?
For each booking, all credits that meet the following criteria are considered first:
- are still valid,
- have not already been reserved for another booking, and
- may be used for all services included in the booking.
The credits are then ranked according to the following criteria:
- Priority (in ascending order)
- Expiration date (earliest expiration date first)
The credits are then automatically applied to the booking in this order.
Our aim is to use credits with the greatest restrictions first. This prevents specific credits from expiring while more generally applicable credits are still available.
Within the same priority level, credits that expire sooner are given preference.
In most cases, this process leads to the best possible outcome. In individual exceptional cases, however, the automatic selection may differ from a user's personal preference. For example, a higher-priority credit may be used even though a more generally applicable credit expires sooner.
