Which providers can I book through the wegfinder app?
With the wegfinder app, you can book e-scooters from the providers Lime, Dott and Bird. You can find more information about these providers here.
-
What can I do if scanning the QR code in the wegfinder app does not work?
If the camera scan does not work, you can also enter the code manually. Please note that some e-scooters may be unavailable because they are undergoing maintenance. When scanning, this should be indicated by a specific notification.

Why is €10 charged/reserved at the beginning of my ride in the wegfinder app?
To make sure that you can pay for your ride, we place a temporary hold on your card when the rental starts. The amount varies depending on the partner (for scooters, for example, it is currently €10).
This is not a charge but a temporary authorization hold. Once we receive the invoice for the rental, the actual amount is charged. If the invoice amount is higher, a subsequent charge will be made to the same payment method. If the actual amount is lower, the difference will be released again. -
Will I receive an invoice in the wegfinder app?
Yes. You can view the invoices for your e-scooter rides at the end of the day under “Tickets & Trips” in your profile.
-
How are the different zones displayed in the wegfinder app?
The zones in the app are color-coded so that you can easily find your way around at all times:
🟦 Parking zone – Blue
You can end your ride here and park the scooter properly.🟥 No-parking zone – Red
Parking the scooter is not permitted in these areas.🟨 Slow-speed zone – Yellow
In these zones, the scooter's speed is automatically reduced.⬜️ Operating area / No-riding zone – Grey
In grey areas, you may either be unable to ride or they may indicate the boundary of the active service area. -
Why do I have to take a photo of the e-scooter at the end of my ride in the wegfinder app?
Certain e-scooter partners require a photo of the parked scooter to ensure that it has been parked correctly. Please make sure to park the e-scooter in one of the blue zones shown on the map before ending your ride. These zones indicate the permitted parking areas.
In Vienna, these generally include:
- E-scooter parking areas marked with red paint on the ground
- Permitted bicycle parking spaces – park within the white lines and, ideally, directly in the bicycle rack
- Permitted parking spaces – park the e-scooter at the edge of the space so that cars can also park there
