It is currently not possible to link an existing Rail&Drive account directly to the wegfinder app. To use ÖBB Rail&Drive through wegfinder, you need to complete a separate registration within the wegfinder app.

For security reasons, we regularly re-check driving licences. You can find further information on verification intervals and expiry dates in the “Driving Licence” section of your profile in the wegfinder app

-
Why is €90 charged/reserved at the beginning of my journey in the wegfinder app?
To make sure that you can pay for your journey, we place a temporary hold on your card when the rental starts. The amount varies depending on the partner (for cars, for example, it is currently €90).
This is not a charge but a temporary authorization hold. Once we receive the invoice for the rental, the actual amount is charged. If the invoice amount is higher, a subsequent charge will be made to the same payment method. If the actual amount is lower, the difference will be released again. -
How can I extend my rental period using the wegfinder app?
If you would like to extend the rental period for your Rail&Drive car, please contact Rail&Drive Customer Service directly. You can reach the team by phone at +43 5 1778 73 33 or by email at info.railanddrive@oebb.at.
The extension or modification of your booking depends on vehicle availability. Please note that the cancellation conditions of your booking also apply to any changes. -
When will I receive my invoice in the wegfinder app?
Billing takes place after the journey has ended. The invoice is generally available in the booking details of your journey no later than 15 minutes after the end of the journey. You will also receive the invoice by email.
To access the booking details of a previous journey, go to “Archive” under “Tickets & Trips.”
